Viewpoint

1. In 2000, domestic magnetic tape product sales volume reached 41,000, an increase of 12.02% compared to the previous year.  The sales revenue reached 31,301million RMBan increase of 33.22% compared to the previous year.

2. Individual magnetic tape product markets will suffer with the implementation of network storage plans.  The network integrated system market will grow.

3. Travan-based magnetic tape product market share will increase continously. Market share for QIC-based magnetic tape product will rapidly decrease.  DAT-based magnetic tape product will occupy half of the market, becoming the mainstream technology in the domestic magnetic tape product market.  The sales of 8mm products will continue to decrease.

4. In 2001, the total sales revenue for magnetic tape products will reach 0.38 – 0.4 billion RMBan increase of 20%-30% compared to the previous year.
